Invasion Of the Boy Snatchers

Envious of her best friend's cousin from Spain, Massie Block's competitive nature takes over in Invasion of the Boy Snatchers (Pick a Poppy, 2005). Massie Block is the leader of the Pretty Committee at OCD middle school in Westchester, New York. Although Massie is known to be an A-list alpha with an ah-mazing fashion sense, all her confidence has lowered because of Nina Rivera; also known as Alicia Rivera’s gorgeous cousin. With this Spanish beauty’s flawless tan, silky black hair, and a killer body, this girl is bound to steal the hearts of every guy in Westchester. Massie cannot let this girl steal all of the H.A.R.T boys at Briarwood! (Hot, Alpha, Rich Toned). While Massie remains uncertain of Nina’s guest appearance in Westchester, Massie’s two best friend’s Dylan and Kristen are head-over-heels for this fashionista’s sense of style. While having a slumber party in Massie’s bedroom, Massie, Claire, Dylan, Alicia, and Kristen notice a few of their belongings missing. While the girl’s investigate on who’s behind this stealing frenzy, Nina is single-handedly flirting with all of their crushes! No man can resist Nina’s exterior, which makes Nina a triple threat towards the Pretty Committee. Lisi Harrison’s fans will ah-dore this book in the well-known “Clique Series” because of its relatable dialogue towards teenage girls. These teenage girls have quick-wit, fashion-forward lifestyles, and are the alphas of OCD. I personally recommend this book specifically because the protagonist, Massie Block, is shown to be fierce and unafraid of any LBR, (Loser Beyond Repair) who tries to bring her down. But in this novel, Massie’s insecure side ultimately shows because of this conflict between her and Nina. I totally recommend it! Well, goodbye everyone. I heart you!
