
The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan is a sequel to the beloved series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Those who were mad about Percy Jackson, are going to love this new book. It contains many of the great heroes from the other books, such as Annabeth, Drew, Chiron, Thalia, and of course Percy Jackson. The story picks up right were The Last Olympian left off. It follows three new heroes Jason, son of Jupiter, Piper, daughter of Aphrodite, and Leo, son of Hephaestus brought together by none other than Hera. Hera is trapped, Percy has gone missing, and Zeus has ordered Olympus to be closed. Jason, Piper, and Leo journey to fulfill the Great Prophecy to save Hera and prevent the giants’ rebirth while battling the earth and winds. On their quest the three face cyclopes, an ancient monster being reborn, and distrustful goddesses as the earth slowly stirs. They have to beat the clock to stop the giant king Porphyron and save the goddess Hera. Piper must choose between her friends or her dad, while Leo blocks his troubling memories, and as Jason attempts to unravel his past. This fast paced page turning adventure keeps you intrigued for all 553 pages. The writing is clear, entertaining, and provides vivid descriptions allowing your imagination to run wild. As the book progresses, the characters really develop and as the reader you feel a sort attachment to them as if you were journeying along side them. Rick Riordan has yet again proved himself in another mythological thriller.
This sounds like a really good book. I liked the other Percy Jackson books so i can't wait to try this one! Your summary was very good and it sounds really thrilling!
